A bit more about me

I am a a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) and a practising General Practitioner (GP).

I am passionate about helping women lead a happy, healthy life. The clients I work with often know how to eat healthy food, but struggle with emotional eating and binge eating, or yoyo dieting. I specialise in helping women find food freedom, heal their relationship with food and discover their happy, healthy weight.

Qualifications

BSc (Hons) Biomedical science
MBChB Medicine and surgery
MRCGP Practicing General Practitioner (GP)
Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip with merit) in Nutritional Medicine (University of Surrey) Registered Associate Nutritionist (AfN) ANutr

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2016 and wanted to reduce my chances of the disease returning following surgery. I adopted a plant-focused eating pattern to improve not only my Crohn’s disease but overall health and wellbeing.

This is where my passion for nutrition began. I love helping women eat nourishing, tasty meals, as well as giving them all the tools to break from emotional and binge eating- something which is so often overlooked when it comes to our eating.

Women come to me who have spent years yoyo dieting, feeling stuck, confused and out of control around food. I help you restore the love of eating back into your life, restoring the balance and calm you deserve when it comes to living a happy, healthy life.

I work as a Registered Associate Nutritionist and offer lifestyle and nutrition coaching to clients. I am not operating as a private GP.

If there are concerns which I feel need medical input, then I will (with your consent) write to your GP regarding these.

I am based in North Devon, where I live with my husband and little boy. I will be able to offer consultations via video (zoom/facetime/whatsapp) or phone call.

My goal is to help clients change their health through habit changes and providing information which allows you to be empowered to make these adaptions. I incorporate motivational interviewing techniques into consultations and allow you to be in control of changes you wish to make.

Often, it is not just a case of giving clients a meal plan, but rather teaching them ways to ensure healthy habits are sustained. This can involve looking at client’s home-life (environment), their relationships and responsibilities, and forming new habits which are positive and achieve results.

My Philosophy

Long-term changes are key to good health. I do not promote “quick-fix” diets.

I encourage clients to work with me who are prepared to make changes in their diet and lifestyle.

“I'm feeling healthier than I ever have!”
